Wolfe Tone Street, Sligo

Ros Cheide designed and delivered this conversion of former retail units into apartments at 31-34 Wolfe Tone Street, Sligo which completed at the end of 2019. The apartments were designed and built to Passive House Principles.

There are 10 apartments in the entire development. The derelict retail was converted to residential after conversing with the Sligo County Council planners who approved of the compact, well designed urban scheme.

 

The 4 existing apartments on the upper levels of the block received new floor and wall finishes and new insulation lining to the facade.

30 Wolfe Tone Street, Sligo

3 Apartments at No. 30 Wolfe Tone Street next door were also upgraded with Passive House principles as part of the development. They received new insulation and airtight membrane to the facades with mechanical ventilation through out.

 

 

Bay View, Rosses Point, Sligo

Simon was the property developer and main building contractor and Eamonn the designer on this project of 8 split level houses overlooking Sligo Bay.

Eamonn recently designed this adaption of a high end property with great views of Sligo bay and Simon helped deliver the project on site with work for builder client Connaught Access.

 

Quayside Shopping Centre, Sligo – by Eugene O’Neill Architects

Simon worked as an architectural technologist for architect Eugene ONeill on the design and construction of this complex, mixed-use project located in Sligo town.

Quayside Apartments, Sligo – by Eugene O’Neill Architects

Simon worked extensively on the design of the residential component of this large project which has over 100 apartments.

 

 

Passive House, Bright, Victoria – by Maxa Design, Melbourne

Simon worked as concept designer for Maxa Design on this rural Passive House outside Melbourne.

 

Apex House, London – by 3D Reid

Simon worked for 3DReid as the lead architectural technician for the technical design stage for the townhouses component of this residential project in London.
